Amina Bello
AYAP, Central African regionAmina Bello is a young peacebuilder, women's rights advocate, and community leader from the Central African Republic. Widely recognized for her commitment to peace, youth leadership, and women's empowerment, she represents a new generation of African leaders dedicated to building a more peaceful, inclusive, and prosperous continent.
Currently serving as the African Union Youth Ambassador for Peace (AYAP) for Central Africa (2026–2028), Amina has spent more than five years promoting peacebuilding, conflict prevention, social cohesion, and civic engagement among young people and women in her country.
As the Coordinator of Horizon Féminin pour la Paix et le Progrès (HFPP), she leads a network of over 300 young members and volunteers actively engaged in advancing peace, leadership, and community development across the Central African Republic.
Amina holds a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Sciences and serves as a Nursing Supervisor, combining her expertise in public health with her passion for peace and sustainable development. She has designed and facilitated numerous trainings, awareness campaigns, and community initiatives in schools, universities, and local communities on leadership, mediation, conflict prevention, civic engagement, women's empowerment, primary health care, and the Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) Agenda.
She has participated in several national, regional, and international training programmes on peace and security, mediation, conflict management, governance, and leadership, including programmes held in Tanzania, Kenya, France, and other continental platforms.
Amina is also a YALI Dakar Regional Leadership Center Alumna and serves as the Central African Republic Focal Point for the ICGLR Youth Forum. Throughout her journey, she has trained and mentored numerous young leaders, peace ambassadors, and community mediators who are now implementing transformative initiatives within their communities.
A recipient of several national and international recognitions, Amina Bello continues to inspire young women and youth across Africa to become agents of peace, positive change, and sustainable development.
